When people see my business name—JmFhoto—they often ask about my website domain, JmFhoto (with an “F” instead of a “P”). And while there’s a simple reason behind the choice, I wanted to make the “F” meaningful—something that truly represents what I stand for as a North Carolina senior photographer.
After reflecting on the heart of my business, I realized there are five words that define what JmFhoto is all about. These words represent the experience I create, the impact I want to have, and the way I help every teen build confidence during their time in front of my camera.
Fearless – Stepping Into Confidence
Confidence doesn’t always come naturally, especially in high school. So many teens struggle with self-doubt, comparison, and the pressure to be “perfect.” But when they step into a session with me, I want them to let go of fear and embrace who they are.
Being fearless isn’t about never feeling nervous—it’s about pushing past doubts, taking up space, and owning your beauty. It’s about showing up as your true self, knowing that you are enough exactly as you are.
Focus – Seeing the Beauty Within
As a Raleigh photographer, I know that focus is everything. But I’m not just talking about camera settings. I’m talking about where we focus our energy, our thoughts, and our mindset.

One of the most incredible things about my teen photography experience is the friendships that are formed through my teen and senior model teams. High school can be overwhelming, but having a group of supportive, uplifting friends makes all the difference.
The teams I create are designed to bring girls together—to help them connect, encourage each other, and make memories that go beyond just photos. I want these friendships to last long after the sessions are over because everyone deserves to find their people—the ones who lift them up, cheer them on, and bring out their best.
Fierce – Owning Your Power
Confidence isn’t just about feeling good in front of the camera. It’s about carrying yourself with boldness, strength, and self-assurance. I want every teen I work with to feel fierce—not just during their session but in everyday life.
Being fierce means standing tall, speaking up, and knowing your worth. It means stepping into the world unapologetically and believing in yourself. At JmFhoto, I don’t just take pictures—I help teens see themselves as the strong, confident individuals they are meant to be.
Flourish – Growing Into Your Best Self
High school is a time of transformation, and my goal is to be part of that journey—to capture it, to celebrate it, and to encourage growth along the way. I want every teen to flourish—to step into their potential, to embrace change with excitement, and to feel confident in who they are becoming.
Flourishing isn’t about perfection. It’s about growth, self-discovery, and embracing all the moments that shape us. Every photoshoot, every smile, every friendship formed along the way is part of that journey, and I am beyond grateful to be part of it.
